The Problem

Shiny Smile Veneers is a snap-on veneers brand that provides an affordable alternative to cosmetic dental treatments. 

Their traffic began to decline after the August 2022 Helpful Content Update and they wanted to regain previous levels of traffic. We saw the opportunity to improve content quality and topical authority for “snap-on veneers” terms, ultimately increasing revenue from organic search.

The Strategy

When they contacted us, they had thin and duplicative content. After conducting an audit, we pruned their existing content and put together a strategy that would build their topical authority for veneer terms and improve their conversion rate.

While snap-on veneers are an affordable alternative to expensive cosmetic dental treatments, dental practices and other high-authority health sites were ranking for broader veneer terms. Because of this reality, we prioritized lower volume snap-on veneer keywords that answered potential customers’ questions. These included best snap-on veneers and how much do snap-on veneers cost.

We also targeted brand comparison terms and optimized transactional pages to increase their conversion rate.

On the digital PR side, we worked on eight campaigns, which generated 577 follow links and 37 no-follow links, an average of 72 follow links per campaign, and a cost-per-follow-link value of $208. This in turn increased our client’s Domain Rating from 26 to 35.

The Results

Throughout a 15-month period, content created or revamped by us drove over $240,000 from all channels and over $125,000 from organic.

Additionally, the site saw an increase in conversion rate and purchases from informational content:

  • 42% increase in conversion rate.
  • 30% increase in purchases from informational content.
  • In Q1 of 2024, one of our posts (Best Snap On Veneers) contributed to 24% of total revenue.

Site improvements were able to turn the negative traffic trajectory around and increase Shiny Smile Veneer’s share of voice compared to competitors.
